Blood, Sweat and Tears

Over the years, one of the most popular conundrums we are approached with is that various Occult tools, grimoires, components etc can be a bit expensive to some individuals. We understand this challenge, as we too had to deal with this many, many years ago when we first started our own practices.

The sad but true answer is this:

If you cannot afford various Occult literature or grimoires…then you will just have to go old school with your solution: research.

Travel to various libraries and see if they have any old grimoires or texts available – yes, some of them all around the world actually do have the classic grimoires available.

Although the internet is a vast resource, a lot of what you will encounter will likely be fanatical nonsense on “occult forums” or hearsay, so rather look at old grimoires and public domain literature. Sure, you won’t find contemporary works in the public domain, but the classical grimoires are gold and can form an excellent starting point to your practices. Hell, just ask us – because that was our first study materials.  In fact, many basics of magick are indicated in these old grimoires – elemental and planetary correspondences and associations, symbolism and ritual layout, ritual conduct etc etc etc …the same basics that many contemporary “practitioners” do not even know about, let alone are able to perform.

Anyway, we’re not going to turn this into a rant about their ineptness.

Of course, we know many budding practitioners prefer to resort to pirating Occult literature. We don’t frown down upon this simply because we are authors ourselves, but because we have fucking standards. These people are merely lazy. Lazy armchair practitioners (if even that much) whose practices will amount to nothing. Why?

Everything of worth that can be written in any grimoire – yes, even our own written works and grimoires that we publish – can be discovered through PRACTICAL EXPERIENCE. How the fuck do you think all these masters, old and new, found out what they know/knew? Not by sitting with their thumbs up their asses, we can tell you that much. We hope that you can feel our glare through these words of ours if you are guilty of this.

Indeed, if you study, research and PRACTICE as if it is your entire existence, devoting yourself fully and completely to your path, then there is nothing that you cannot find out by yourself.

You will not find the secret to all Occult power written black on white in a book – contemporary or ancient. Sure, you may save yourself some time and effort by studying the works of others…but true power, true secrets? That is something that you find yourself through blood, sweat and tears.

Regarding tools – if you cannot buy them, then learn how to make them yourself. It’s literally that simple. It’s not quantum physics. Yet again, if you devote yourself to your practices, then you would also know of alternatives (“simples”) that you can use in various ritual operations.

So…what is really holding you back from your practices?

Money?

Oh no…no no no.

Look in the mirror.

It is you.
