It’s been quite a while since we last wrote anything on our blog, its rather surprising how certain things can slip the mind so easily. Our silence has nothing to do with you, our readers – not at all…we suppose our lack of anything to say rather comes from (simply put) being quite busy.
Sounds a bit vague, doesn’t it? So, what have we been up to as of late? Well, we hope that you are sitting down, because this is going to take some time:
We have recently taken on a few new authors under The Arcane Press. They are all welcome additions to our Arcane family, and you will find out all about them in due time when their writings are complete and ready to be published.
We are currently writing a number of new books: Within, Primae Magicae and a few others who do not have exact titles as of yet. Some time ago we announced that we were about to release a book entitled “The Gods of Hedonism”, and frankly, the book is release-ready, however we withheld it – more on that shortly.
“Within” is a book on Godhood, achieving Godhood to be exact. We suppose it is vaguely related to The Hexagrammaton, yet it is much more in-depth on what *exactly* Godhood is and how it can be obtained. The writing on this is rather slow-going…not due to a lack of anything to say, but rather that the subject itself is a heavy one…emphasis on “heavy”. There is precious little written about the subject of spiritual ascension, so all that we are writing within is, as usual, from practical experience…and historical references of course (for those nitpicking individuals out there).
“Primae Magicae” is a book on the basics of Magick – a primer for any path or paradigm. By the look of it, it’s going to pass the 300-page mark, as we are covering everything that we consider to be the “basics” of Magick…although we suppose, in retrospect, that many of that which is included also goes into more advanced practices and methods.
And now, the prime reason for our silence – our path. In short, we thought that we were already completely and wholeheartedly on the path of spiritual ascension, however our path has recently taken a rather steep incline and has now become much more than it originally was. It hasn’t changed – we are still on the perpetual path of spiritual ascension – it simply grew in magnitude.
Let us be completely honest and open regarding something – no holds barred: the path of spiritual ascension is a bit of a guessing game in a sense. There are no other writings of great and advanced worth on the matter that have survived time (or have actually been written in the first place), so there is nothing you can refer to for answers. The basics of spiritual ascension is not a big issue, and we have even written about this, but with this new leg of our journey…we are essentially winging it. There is nothing wrong with this though, as we have gotten thus far and will continue to progress. Alright, admittedly, we have had some guidance, yet not in the form of a book or such…yet it wasn’t really guidance at all…more of a “redirecting us to what we really should be doing” type of guidance.
There is a much longer and more detailed account on how our path actually increased in potency (and my oh my, how it has increased) – but we’ll not write it here. We suppose that if people are interested, we will gladly write it in a separate post though.
Nonetheless, with our “new and improved” path, the book we were to release, “The Gods of Hedonism”…when we looked at it, we were…severely disassociated with what we have written, as if it was written by completely different people. It is so against what we practice and our own path that we couldn’t bear to release it, knowing what we know now. It scraped against our beings like nails on a chalkboard. Although we have mastered many paradigms, both dark and light in nature, we will not mislead you, our faithful supporters, with material that conflicts with our first and foremost modus operandi: spiritual ascension. You see, knowingly or unknowingly, we are all on the same path…and we have actually likened it to the “Hero’s Journey” from psychology. The “hero” starts on “earth”, then journeys into the underworld for whatever reason, then ascends – past earth – and into the heavens. In short. The path to ascension is no different than this, or at least, the path we took to ascension. We started off with Black Witchcraft, Witchcraft and other such earth and nature-based practices (the Earth leg of the Hero’s journey). Then, we journeyed into the depths of the Infernal, Hell by our LHP practices (the Underworld leg of the journey)…but that is not the entirety of it. We then progressed past the Underworld into the Realm of the Dead with our Necromantic practices. Next, we started to travel upwards – the RHP, Astrology and the like – yet, this is not the “Heavens” part of the Hero’s journey, not yet…this is just the ascent. With all of our practices behind us, from which we bare the marks and experience – we are backed by all that we have learned on our path thus far.
The issue that most people make, is that they think that when they have reached the highest throne of the Underworld (persay) that they have reached the epiphany of their journey. It may seem that way, as you would be far more powerful than you were when you began your journey, but it is a farce. That is not the end-goal, not even the half-way mark. Likewise with every other leg of the journey. Master “Earth”, you will be more powerful than you were, and it may seem that this is the epiphany, but it is not. Then the “Infernal Underworld” – likewise. Then the “Necromantic Underworld” – likewise…and so on and so forth. All of them grants you power, yes – but not ultimate power. They are all like pieces of a broken thing – once you have all of the pieces gathered, you can reforge the broken thing anew and discover the Godself. Ah, but that’s enough on that for now – we’ll write about this some other time in greater detail.
But nonetheless, apart from mundane and business matters that also keep us insanely busy – that is what we have been up to as of late. We will truly make an attempt to write more on our blog and reawaken our podcast The Provident Vox in the near future – this we can assure you.
